Nitrate - tester, radioactivity indicator "Ecotester"

Short description. A nitrate-tester is intended for the estimation (express-analysis) of content of nitrates in fresh vegetables and fruit in home conditions. Not used for vegetables and fruit, passing treatment (drying, freezing, preservation, and other). An analysis is produced on the basis of measuring of conductivity of alternating high-frequency current in a measureable product.
Also a device is intended for the estimation of value of radiation background (radiations) from surrounding objects. For this purpose the SBM-20 Geiger counter is set inside device.
A device is equipped a colour display, allowing to consider information, both in a numerical and graphic mode. Under a display 4 navigation buttons are located and button «OK».
A removable cap, protecting from casual contiguities with a sharp measuring probe, is located in an underbody. A contact with an analysable product is performed by a measuring probe, located under a cap. From the back a battery compartment is located. The power supply of device is carried out from a 2 batteries size "AAA".

A nitrate-tester allows to conduct measurings in more than 30 types of green-stuffs and fruit, including: apricot, water-melon, egg-plant, banana, grape, pear, greenery, melon, cheap restaurant, cabbage, potato, strawberry, bow, mango, carrot, nectarines, cucumber, pepper, tomato, garden radish, lettuce, beet, persimmon, apple, meat.

Switch on. For the nitrate sensor power supply the 2 batterшуі is intended from the complete set of delivery. If to retain the button of including in the pushed-in state, a device will be switch on (at including during 3 seconds illumination of producer is demonstrated and a main menu appears).

Switch off. A device is automatically switched off through time, set in a menu: «Tuning of Auto Off.» This parameter in seconds sets a time through which automatically the shutdown of nitrate-tester will happen in case of absence of pressures on any button. It is othergates possible to turn off a nitrate-tester continuously pushing button of shutdown during a 1th second. In default of necessity for the use of nitrate-tester, it is recommended to extract the power supply elements from him.

State of power supply elements. In the mode of reflection of menu character of element of battery on which it is possible to define the remain of charge of batteries is represented in the right overhead corner of screen. The size of inundation of rectangle is proportional tension on batteries (accumulator), a color is determined by the state of batteries: a green color means that batteries are "fresh" and suitable to the use; the yellow talks that batteries are week, but yet a bit able to do some work, if an accumulator is set, it is better to recharge him; the red color of inundation designates that batteries are discharged, measuring results can be unreliable, replacement of batteries or urgent charging of accumulator is required.

Menu. In the mode of reflection of menu a screen is divided into three parts: overhead part of screen - informative. The current level of menu, state of batteries (accumulator), is here represented. Middle part of screen - actually menu. There is a pointer of current element in the left column of pointer, on the right will substitute the pointer of presence or implementations of the indicated function. Underbody - auxiliary. Destination of the buttons is here represented, and on the right is the pushed-in presently button.
Three parts of screen part lines by delimiters. If there is part of menu, not represented on the screen, in an overhead line delimiter or in a lower line delimiter the proper pointer will appear.

Measuring of content of nitrates. For the leadthrough of measuring of content of nitrates in vegetables, fruit or other products will execute follow actions:

1. Choose in menu "Nitrate-tester" mode and select the checked product. Product must be clean, without dirt on the surface. Washing a product is needed without the use of cleansers, and only simple clean water. A product must not be spoilt slightly a rot, on the surface must not be tracks from hits or bites of rodents. A product must not be dried-up, must have a healthy, appetizing kind. It is possible to use the cuts of products, but a cut must be fresh, with a term no more than 15 minutes.
2. After the choice of product text must appear on the screen: «you will make sure, that a probe will not be stuck in the checked up product».
3. Push the button “OK”. Thus preparation to measurings will starts (self calibration). Wait till appearance of invitation to the further actions. During expectation on the screen text will be present «Wait, preparation goes to measurings». At this time touching the probe is forbidden.
4. Stick a probe in the checked product. Sticking a probe is necessary maximally athwart planes of product, desirably, towards his center. It is not needed to turn a probe into a product, to press on a product. A depth of input of probe can be from 10 mm to complete immersion in the checked product. The sharp end of probe must not go out outside from a product outside, opposite the place of input in an examinee body. The end of probe must not get in the area of ripening of seed, in the district of stone, in internal emptinesses, and must be in even soft juicy mass of product, most often used in food. Do not use opening, leave in the checked up product as a result of sticking in him of probe of tester or other objects repeatedly.
5. Push the button "OK". A measuring process will begin.
6. Wait till appearance of results of measurings. During expectation there will be text on the screen: «Wait, measuring goes». At this time forbidden to move a probe inside a product.
7. Memorize measuring results. Except for a digital value one of four inscriptions will be represented: «Content of nitrates in a norm», «Insignificant exceeding of norm», «Impermissible concentration of nitrates».
8. Take off a probe from an examinee product, wipe it and push the button for a return in a menu (if during measurings long not to press on a keyboard, a device automatically will be turned off).

Radioactivity measurement. For measuring radio-activity it is enough in a menu to enter in the mode "Radio-activity" and to bring a device as possible nearer to the interesting you object on 20-30 seconds. Thus on the screen the current value of radiation background will be continuously represented and to hatch the proper report (for example, "Radiation background in a norm" - at unexceeding of the set threshold). A threshold can be changed if necessary.
